About University College

Major/Curriculum Sheets

Transferring Courses to URI

Taking courses at other institutions, particularly over the summer, is a popular method students use to "catch up" if they are behind in credits to graduate. Should you decide that this is a good course of action for you, securing "prior approval" is important.

Registration

The most important thing to remember about registration is to meet with your advisor and register in a timely manner. As any upperclassmen will tell you, a day or even an hour can make the difference for securing the more popular classes and more popular times!

Academic Status

Probation, dismissal, and readmission.

Useful Forms for Students

Academic Enhancement Center

Our trained staff of peer tutors, supplemental instruction leaders, and learning specialists combine subject area expertise with an understanding of the demands of university life to provide an approach to learning that is supportive, interactive, and fun.

Getting Help with Early Alert

As students make the transition to URI, they will have many new and exciting experiences! Inevitably, some challenges will cross their path. Early Alert provides individual support and guidance to students who are facing these challenges. The main goal of the Early Alert is to help students make a successful transition to URI through individual guidance and the collaboration of campus resources.
