Oktoberfest/General Membership Meeting The GAU Oktoberfest was held on Oktoberfest 18, 2006 from 6 - 8 PM with approximately 50 graduate assistants attending the event. German bratwurst, sauerkraut, and beer, as well as traditional American food was served. President Cristin Ashmankas welcomed everyone and discussed important information for the upcoming year. Dental insurance plans are available for graduate assistants either on a yearly or discounted plan. Call the GAU for more information. Also, preparation is now underway for negotiation of a new contract. Stewards in most departments will be gathering information from you about possible topics for discussions.
