SALVATION ARMY KETTLE DAY Saturday, December 6, 2008 was the 11th Annual RI Labor Union Kettle Day. On this day, union members and their families across the state, volunteer time out their busy holiday schedules to "stand" the kettles and raise much needed money for those in need. GAU representatives "rang the bell" at the Shaw's Market in Wakefield, and other union members volunteered at more than 20 supermarkets across the state. The tens of thousands of dollars raised will be turned right over to the needed families of our Rhode Island.
