For Students
Transitioning into URI can be exciting and difficult. At times, the opportunities on campus may have you psyched to get involved and do well. Other times may have you feeling homesick, frustrated with classes, or uncomfortable with your living situation. It is important to work through these challenges so that you can focus on all the phenomenal opportunities here.
The goal of the Early Alert program is to help students successfully adjust to life at URI. A successful adjustment includes everything from doing well in the classroom, involvement in campus life, being happy with your living/commuting situation, and knowing and using all of the resources available to you to live a healthy lifestyle..
