Welcome to the Office of Internships and Experiential Education (OIEE). It is our mission to foster academic experiential learning opportunities for students. Our personal approach and one-on-one advising offered by our professional staff ensures that each student has a rich learning experience with powerful results.
URI Internship Program
Designed in 1975, the URI Internship Program was the first of its kind to offer full time internships for academic credit, enabling students to link academic theory to real world practice. Today, the program continues to serve as a link from the classroom to the workplace as students participate in both full time and part time internships. Students may choose an internship from our database of over 600 placement sites, or they may design their own internship with the assistance of an intern advisor. Internships are available not only in Rhode Island but, anywhere in the United States.

In addition to the URI internship program, students may choose to intern in our Washington Center Program or our Dublin Ireland Program.
