The URITC is looking for students interested in the transportation-related URI-UPRM Summer Internship Program at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. This program is sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration Dwight D. Eisenhower Fellowship Program, and aims to promote instruction and research in the transportation field.
The internship consists of 7 - 8 weeks of research experience at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. Undergraduate participants receive a stipend of approximately $1,450/month, and graduate students receive $1,700/month. Housing and round-trip airfare are also covered.
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in an Engineering or Supply Chain Management major. Knowledge of Spanish is beneficial, but not required. Students should be comfortable with experiencing a different culture and should have an interest in transportation-related topics.
