Business Academy
The URITC offers a one-week session where 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students can learn more about business. All participants receive full scholarships, and learn about the various components of managing a company's supply chain including planning, purchasing, production, transportation, storage & distribution, and customer service. Construction Academy
The URITC offers a one-week session where High School Juniors and Seniors can learn more about construction careers. All participants receive full scholarships, and participate in OSHA 10-hour certification, Flag Person certification, work zone safety, hands-on activities at the Operating Engineers Center, blue print reading, construction math, surveying and layout, and starting your own construction business. Engineering Career Day
Introducing high school freshman, sophomores, and juniors to career opportunities in the field of civil engineering through hands on and classroom activities. Sponsored by Rhode Island’s leading engineering companies, educators and employers.
In the past, Career Day topics have included bridge and geotechnical engineering, highway and traffic engineering, surveys and geographic information systems, storm water management, hazardous materials, and environmental planning. Program details
