The University of Rhode Island recognizes the importance

developed in the interest of promoting an excellent and
supportive work environment for faculty, staff, and students at URI by
coordinating existing university, community, and national
resources. Research shows that work-life balance is
crucial in recruiting and retaining an optimum work force,
as well as in promoting higher levels of employee
productivity.
