The Women's Leadership Program is designed to empower and inspire undergraduate women in campus leadership roles. Residents are encouraged to explore their personal leadership styles and the ways in which they are affected or enhanced by gender and to come together to share, grow and network. WLP/ WIST (Women In Science and Technology) is open to women from all academic disciplines. This program provides students with a small, close-knit community and it is a wonderful way for students to be involved in life and learning at URI.
WLP/WIST residents and the Women's Center Staff work as a team to care for their home at 22 Upper College Road in order to ensure their safety, the security of the building, and to cultivate a sense of community that enhances the living and learning experience for all the residents.
