Eligibility
of Residence
In order to be eligible for residency at
the Women's Center you must:
1. Be enrolled as a full-time matriculating student at the University of Rhode Island
2. Be majoring in one of the following nontraditional areas for women: Animal Science and Technology, Aquaculture and Fishery Technology, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical and Ocean Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Clinical Laboratory Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering, Finance, Industrial Engineering, International Business, Management Information Sciences, Marine Biology, Math and Statistics, Mechanical Engineering, Microbiology,
Ocean Engineering, Physics, and Physical Oceanography. Other specific majors on waiting list basis.
3. Be willing to adhere to the rules and regulations outlined in the housing
agreement and to live in a cooperative spirit as part of a living/learning community
4. Be willing to attend
monthly W.I.S.T. resident meetings.
5. Be
willing to take part in one community service project per
semester
