Planning and Real Estate Development

Planning and Real Estate Development consists of three groups – Planning and Real Estate Development, Campus Design, and Spatial Services.

It is the goal of this office to create an environment that promotes teaching, learning, and a sustainable and integrated community at the University of Rhode Island while advancing the strategic initiatives of the University.

Planning and Real Estate Development

Oversees Campus Design and the Office of Space Allocation and Analysis, negotiates real estate leases and licenses, manages the Capital Improvement Plan development process, and conducts feasibility studies.

Accomplishes comprehensive physical master planning, establishes campus design standards, develops project budgets and funding strategies, and manages the design of new and renovated facilities.

Analyzes and manages University space allocations, administers the web-based CAFM system, maintains the floorplan library, and oversees enterprise GIS .
