The talk is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nTrandafir earned a Ph.D. in environmental and natural resource economics at URI in 2008.  Her dissertation, titled &#8220;A strategic model of price and investment competition among container ports,&#8221; was named  &#8220;The Best 2008-2009 URI Transportation Dissertation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nSponsors are URI\u2019s Department of Economics, Department of Environmental and Natural Resource Economics and the Phi Beta Kappa Society.
