Dr. Michael Peat\u2019s talk, entitled \u201cForensic Toxicology,\u201d will be held on Friday, Dec. 8 in Pastore Hall, Room 124 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The seminar is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tToxicology is the study of the adverse effects of chemicals on living organisms. Peat\u2019s talk will explain how toxicology is used to aid in forensic investigations.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tPeat is a graduate of Oxford Polytechnic and the University of Utah, with degrees in biochemical pharmacology and toxicology. He has served as president of the substance abuse testing division and executive vice president of toxicology for LabOne, Inc as well as vice president of toxicology for Roche Biomedical Laboratories and CompuChem Laboratories, Inc.
