Facilities
The nonlinear dynamics laboratory is located in room 270 of the Fascitelli Center for Advanced Engineering. The laboratory is equipped with the latest hardware and instruments for system dynamics and vibrations modeling, simulation, and tasting including:
- LDS and VTS electromagnetic shakers
- Data Physics dynamic signal analyzers
- Various digital oscilloscopes, arbitrary signal generators, and power supplies
- Analog and digital programmable filters
- Various PCB accelerometers and signal conditioners including 8-channel 498M06
- Vishay 10-channel and portable 4-channel strain gauge amplifiers and conditioners
- Keyence laser vibrometers
- Couple LabView based data acquisition workstations with National Instruments based DAQ systems
- Two high-power computer server/workstations for CAD, FEA, and simulations
- Other miscellaneous tools such as digital cameras, strobe lights, and modally-tuned hammer
