Congratulations!

Leah Del Giudice is the winner of the First Annual Student Visual Arts Sea Grant Award. She received the award for her series of glass marine animals.

RI Visual Arts Sea Grant

The RI Sea Grant program supports the efforts of visual artists whose work relates to the marine environment. Please look at the Department website to see examples of artists who have won the award since 1988.

The grants,up to $3000, are awarded annually. Winners will be notified by September 2012

1. Submit a maximum of 10 works on a Mac compadible CD.

  • Digital entries should be saved in RBG color mode, JPEG format and be able to be open on a Mac.
  • No Powerpoints or Automated Slides Show
  • Images should be sent on 1 CD (No work on DVD)
  • Reccomended image size: 1024 pixels on longest side.
  • Include a list of your images.
  • If possible, save the file name as "Artists initials/image number/brief title"
  • CD prefered, but 35mm slides accepted. One or the other, no mixing.

3. Explain how it relates to the marine environment, outline of the proposal and the relationship of the proposal to previous work.


4. Include your name, year of graduation, email and phone number.

5. A self-addressed, stamped envelope for the return of slides and materials and a self-adressed, stamped postcard to ackknowledge receipt and processing,
