The core of the Theatre program at the University of Rhode Island is performance and production work. The program combines solid theoretical studies of a performing art with practical application of career-oriented skills in production. This page is dedicated to the faculty and other members of the Theatre department. The Department of Theatre maintains a high faculty to student ratio. Course work and production work involve close supervision and support from staff who are working professionals as well as educators. The Department annually engages guest artists to broaden student contact with active theatre professionals in all fields. The Department's facility is one of the largest in the region, housing two major performance spaces, spacious state-of-the-art costume and scene shops, rehearsal rooms, a dance studio, and a workshop theatre dedicated to student production.
