Photinia melanocarpa

Black Chokeberry

Formerly Aronia melanocarpa. Medium shrub with dark green leaves, small white flowers (spring) and persistent, black fruit. Tends to sucker profusely. Tolerates wide range of conditions, but prefers well-drained, acid soil with high organic content. Full sun to part shade. Native to RI. 3-5’ x 10’.
