Scrub Oak or Bear Oak

Large shrub or small tree with bristle tipped lobed leaves 2-5”, Dark green above and fuzzy white underneath. Acorns rounded, 1/3 to ½” long. Tolerates dry sandy or rocky soil, barrens, and ridges. Native to RI. 15-20’ x 12-15’.
