Spartina alterniflora

Smooth Cordgrass

A spreading grass found along shorelines and inter-tidal flats in the coastal wetlands. Tolerates fluctuating water levels and is used extensively for coastal and shoreline restoration. Full sun, tolerates salt, wind, standing water. Native to RI. 24-72” x indefinite spread.
