The College of Human Science and Services is a people-oriented college designed to focus on the human and nonhuman resources needed to help individuals and groups solve human problems encountered in contemporary society. Programs in the college prepare students for a variety of professions in three basic areas: teacher education, health-related fields, fields that have evolved from the University's historic land-grant mission in home economics These programs include both formal and informal experiences with people in a wide variety of public service settings which enable students to develop the competencies needed in the emerging field of human services.
