Please note that Admissions to the Bachelor of Science in Human Science and Services has been suspended.  

The Bachelor of Science in Human Science and Services offers students an opportunity to design their individual human services major within broad guidelines. Building on carefully chosen general education courses and on human service core courses, students design their own programs of study with the direction of a committee of faculty members.

This major is for student who have an uncommon need for and interest in developing their own carefully tailored program of study. Successful students will need initiative, tolerance for ambiguity, and willingness to take risks.

Career opportunities are varied and include entry-level positions in fields such as:

  • Family services
  • Law enforcement
  • Services to adolescents
  • Human resource assistance programs

Many professional areas require graduate study for significant career advancement; this program is also designed to serve as preparation for a variety of graduate programs.
