Kansai Gaidai University is located in the Hirakata City,
Midway between the cities of Osaka (Japan's second largest city) and Kyoto
(the ancient capital) KGU was established in 1945 and is attended by 14,000
students.
Eligibility Requirements
Japanese lang. Study required for spring only
2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
Tuition and Expenses*
- Tuition and fees $8,700**
- Room and board paid to KGU
- Off-campus fee $336
- Administrative free $350

Room and Board
- Students encouraged to reside with Japanese families
- Option to reside in one of two KGU dorms
- Meals provided by host family for an additional fee (except Sat.
and Sun.) or they may be taken at the dormitory cafeteria
