Collection Management

The University Library allocates its budget into separate fund accounts for each discipline to finance the purchase of books, serials, and other media. Departments are encouraged to participate in the selection of materials.

Subject selectors
The Library’s subject selectors are responsible for selecting books and other materials to be purchased by the Library. Subject selectors also act as liasons to the various departments on campus.

Online book suggestion forms
Online book suggestion forms are available if you would like to suggest that the Libraries acquire a particular book, video, CD, etc. Your suggestions will be forwarded to the appropriate subject selector.

Library Impact Statements
The Curricular Affairs Committee and Graduate Council require a Library Impact Statement when new courses, programs, majors or degrees are proposed.

Specific questions related to the Library Impact Statements should be addressed to the subject selector for that area.
