Welcome to the URI Providence Campus Psychology Program!

The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree is designed to provide students with a better understanding of human behavior and an enhanced awareness of themselves and society, the skills necessary for analyzing and evaluating information and data, and obtaining practical career-related and hands-on research experience.

The advantages of a Psychology degree

The Providence Psychology program is an integral part of the URI Psychology Department, which also offers nationally recognized graduate programs in clinical psychology, school psychology, and behavioral science. Our instructors are URI professors and selected psychologists from the community who are actively engaged in research, the mental health professions and service, including nationally recognized scholars, teachers, and mentors. We also maintain close ties to centers and agencies throughout Rhode Island, which will provide you with internships for hands-on experiences.
