Financial Aid

Most students are eligible for Financial Aid. In order to receive financial aid students must complete a Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) for each year that they will be attending school.
The FAFSA is available on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov or at post offices and libraries. Students may apply [or re-apply] for financial aid anytime after January 1st of each year.
The FAFSA Code Number for URI is: 003414

The U.S. Department of Education also produces a free Student Guide to Financial Aid. To obtain a copy of the Student Guide to Financial Aid call 800-433-3243. The Student Guide to Financial Aid is also available in English and Spanish.

Talk with a Financial Aid Advisor at the Providence Campus in Room 204 about applying for grants, student loans, work-study and scholarships. To make an appointment please call 401-277-5070. The fax number is 401-277-5146. Office hours vary from semester to semester. Evening appointments are always available.
