Alternate Test Space (ATS)
Greetings from the Office of the Provost!
What is a Provost? I serve as the chief
academic officer of the University and provide leadership for all
academic programs and many academic support activities. For instance, all of our
colleges as well as Admissions, Enrollment Services, the Libraries
and the Honors Program are supported through my office with the
assistance of four Vice Provosts and exceptional support staff. Importantly, we are all
committed to providing the students of the University of Rhode
Island with a student-centered, learning-driven environment and
our faculty with the resources and support to conduct their
research, engage in scholarly and artistic activity and teach
their classes at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. We are here to provide our
faculty, students and staff with the means to complete a mission
of excellence in higher education.
I look forward to seeing you around the
campus and wish you success in your pursuit of an education at the
University of Rhode Island.
