Rhody Postcards: John Gauthier ’62
John Gauthier ’62 wrote to us from Moldova, where he was traveling as a volunteer, training a dairy processing company, Lapmol, to compete in local and foreign markets of powdered milk and cheese. His trip was sponsored by the CNFA Farmer-to-Farmer program. He met with Lapmol’s production and sales employees, and trained managers in effective sales and merchandising techniques. John, who has almost 40 years of sales and marketing experience in the dairy industry, says volunteerism is “like a religion” for him. He finds great joy and satisfaction in helping others. This was his 28th project as an international volunteer. His previous projects included trips to Bulgaria, Croatia, Russia, and a number of other countries in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus region.
