A pre-college science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) academic after-school program for underrepresented students in grades 4th-12th.

Mission
S.M.I.L.E. aims to increase the numbers of underrepresented, minority, and low-income students who will graduate from high school well prepared to enter and graduate from college and pursue careers related to science and math.
Constituents (the people who make up the program and make it successful)
4th-12th grade students from RI public schools
There is no monetary cost to students to be in the program. Students must be working at or above grade level, maintain Cs or better in all classes, have
good school attendance and behavior in order to stay in the program. Please
refer to the "Philosophy" tab for more details. Eligible students:
Teachers will give priority to the students who fit the above criteria. If 20 openings are not
filled, anyone can join on a first-come, first serve basis.
