
Sociology at the University
of Rhode Island provides students with a wide range of opportunities
and challenges. Built on the solid foundation of general education
provided by URI, our programs of study offer extensive course
work in family and intimate relations, criminology and corrections,
and institutional analysis. In addition, opportunities for community
service and internships are becoming more numerous. Our graduates
have gone on to variety of careers--education, public service,
law enforcement, management--as well as to some of the most outstanding
graduate and professional schools in the country.
