Oxydendrum arboreum

Slow-growing, small to medium sized deciduous tree. Long shiny dark green leaves have good fall color. Small white flowers in elongated terminal clusters bloom in mid summer. Prefers moist, acidic, well-drained soil, full sun to partial shade. Young trees are marginally cold hardy. Does not tolerate polluted urban locations. Native to Southeastern US. 25-30’ X 6-10’.
