How to read a catalog record.
As you can see below, a record in the catalog contains a lot of useful information:

It contains information about the author, title and publisher:

location, call number and availability, or status of the item:

and subject information about the item:

This subject information can be very helpful to you as you search for items in the
library. In addition to giving you an idea of the content of the book you are looking at,
this information can provide additional ways to search. Well take a look at subject
