PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- February 13, 2001 -- The University of Rhode Islands Alan Shawn Feinstein College of Continuing Education will celebrate Womens History Month by hosting its second annual womens exhibit.
The exhibit, "URI Women Creating," will run March 5 to 31 on the colleges first and second floor galleries at 80 Washington Street.
URI faculty, staff and student art will share space with the work of guest artist, Lillian Engle, Rhode Island trained former Cranston resident now a New York-based artist.
The exhibit features more than 20 artists work in a variety of two and three-dimensional media including textiles, watercolor, oil, chalk, photography, computer imagery, woodcut, sculpture, and mixed media.
The opening reception is March 8 at 5:30 p.m. Gallery hours: Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information call 277-5000.
