Kingston, R.I. -- April 16, 2001 -- The Family Resource Partnerships April Seminar will feature Mark G. Brown, of the Rhode Island Statewide Planning program, at the University of Rhode Island Librarys Galanti Lounge, Wednesday, April 25 at 4 p.m.
Browns lecture entitled; "The first census of the New Millenium" is free and open to the public. He will discuss the first data released from Census 2000. The information deals with the states population, race, and ethnic data.
The discussion will address the Census impact on design and operation of government, non-profit programs, and businesses in Rhode Island for the next 10 years. Brown will also deal with questions on how the results can be used to plan and support the states children, families, and communities.
The lecture is a part of the Family Resource Partnership "Families and Change" April Seminar. The Family Resource Partnership is committed to strengthening children, families, and communities by bringing research based support to organizations providing services to families.
