URI's Animal Club to hold Easter Egg Hunt

KINGSTON, R.I. -- March 30, 2004 -- The University of Rhode Island will hold a free Easter egg hunt for all ages on April 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will also feature a petting zoo, pictures with the Easter Bunny, refreshments, and raffles for restaurant gift certificates.

The hunt will be held at URI's Peckham Farm, located off Route 138, opposite the URI athletic complex.

There will be separate hunts for specific age groups; ages toddler to 5 and 6 to 9 at 11 a.m., ages 10 to15 and 16 and over at noon. The event is free and open to the public.

Donations will be accepted and will benefit the URI Animal Club and local animal shelters.
