NARRAGANSETT -- May 4, 2005 -- Now that it’s warm (sort of)—but before the summer crowds arrive—it’s the perfect time to discover or rediscover Rhode Island’s natural and coastal places.

Rhode Island Sea Grant has revamped its Daytripper’s Guide to Rhode Island website——which will help you find over 350 parks, paths, beaches, and other recreational spots throughout the state. Based on the Public Access to the Rhode Island Coast and A Guide to Rhode Island’s Natural Places field guides, the site contains descriptions, maps, articles, safety tips, sportfishing regulations, and more.

Both field guides are also available for purchase through Rhode Island Sea Grant Communications. For pricing and shipping information, call (401) 874-6842 or e-mail
