Preparatory Music Program offered at URI

KINGSTON, R.I. -- September 14, 2005 -- Ever wanted to learn an instrument but couldn’t find the time? Is there a musician in you just dying to come out? You are never too young or too old to learn at the Preparatory Music Program at the University of Rhode Island. All classes take place in the Fine Arts Center on the Kingston campus. Here’s what’s being offered this fall:

•Suzuki Beginning Violin: Class is for children ages 5 to 7 and meets for 10 weeks on Tuesdays from 5 to 6 p.m. beginning Sept. 27.

•4 Hands Together Piano: Christine Müller's popular class is for children aged 4 to 7 who come with an adult. The class will meet for 8 weeks on Saturdays from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. beginning Sept. 24.

•Adult Beginning Piano: Class is open to adults with no previous experience. It meets on Tuesdays from 7 to 8:15 p.m. for 9 weeks beginning Oct. 4.
