Family Fun Day at URI Feinstein Providence Campus, Oct. 23

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- October 4, 2005 -- While the thought of going to “school” on a Sunday might be the last thing on any child’s mind, going to a “Family Fun Day” at a school on a Sunday is another matter entirely.

The University of Rhode Island Alan Shawn Feinstein College of Continuing Education will host a FREE Family Fun Day celebration on Sunday, Oct. 23, from 1 to 4 p.m. Open to the public, the event at the University’s Providence campus on 80 Washington St, will include sand art, pumpkin painting, crafts, games, clowns, and more for kids of all ages. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.

Special guests include the magician, Tommy James. There will be food and cotton candy and popcorn. Bring family and friends.

This Family Fun event is co-sponsored by the Office of Student Services and the Student Government Board of the Alan Shawn Feinstein College of Continuing Education. For more information, call 277-5000.
