The department offers M.S. and Ph.D. level degrees Pharmaceutical Sciences with specializations in:

Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy

Pharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics

Pharmacology and Toxicology

A number of interdisciplinary as well as specialized courses are built into the curriculum to prepare the students for diverse career opportunities in industry, academia, and the government agencies.

The department is well funded by both the National Institutes of Health and the pharmaceutical industry. The department houses a core research facility with state of the art research equipment. Faculty research interests are described under the departmental faculty listing.
