The Legacy of Rose Butler Browne

The annual Rose Butler Browne Peer Mentoring Program class celebrates the legacy of alumna and distinguished educator Rose Butler Browne, who received her bachelor's degree from URI in 1921, the first Black woman to do so. Open to anyone, regardless of gender or ethnicity, the course offers credit toward URI's leadership studies minor.
