Important URI experience: Participating in a global health course in Indonesia with students from pharmacy, health sciences, as well as other nursing students during J Term.
What’s next: A year-long nursing residency, followed by graduate school for global/public health.
Career goal: To work for an organization such as the World Health Organization (WHO) or Doctors Without Borders that promotes global public health.
In her own words: “Through DIVE (D.I.V.E. RI Diversifying Individuals via Education), I learned to be an advocate for diversity on campus and that helped me become more of an advocate for my patients.”
