I have found new and exciting rewards recently in my career by being able to help in the fight to combat COVID-19. I have worked at Almac Group in Clinical Services for the past 20 years. We are a contract packager that supports clinical research, so it’s really not a traditional pharmacist career path, but I have been able to use my training to watch new therapies come to market over the years.

During the pandemic, we have had the opportunity and honor to be awarded multiple contracts to package, label and distribute many different medications that are taking aim at the virus in various ways: vaccines, antibiotics, antivirals, anti-inflammatory drugs, etc. All of the staff has really found renewed purpose in giving their all to expedite every step of the process and we hope to make a difference. It’s been truly inspirational to be a part of this fight.
