Nominees sought for URI’s College of Business

Administration Hall of Fame

KINGSTON, R.I. — Oct. 2, 2001 — The University of Rhode Island’s College of Business Administration is seeking nominations for its fourth annual Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony.

The event, to be held on April 25, 2002 at the Crowne Plaza at the Crossings in Warwick, will honor individuals who have made substantial contributions to the mission and reputation of the College of Business Administration.

Primary consideration is given to the people who are alumni of URI, although non-alumni will be considered for induction. Some of the past inductees include: Robert S. Russell, chief executive officer, Rusco Steel; Robert E. Ligouri, managing partner, Adler, Pollock & Sheehan, Inc.; Alfred J. Verrecchia, president and chief operating officer, Hasbro, Inc.; Robert L. Crandall, retired chairman and chief executive officer, AMR Corporation / American Airlines; Cynthia M. Deysher, former chief financial officer and vice president, ArrowPoint Communications Inc.; and former U.S. Sen. Claiborne Pell.
