KINGSTON, R.I. — March 21, 2002 — Representatives from a variety of different fields such as law, speech and language pathology, health care, government and many more will be recruiting students at the University of Rhode Island’s Human Services, Government and Not-for-Profit Job Fair 2002.

The job fair run by URI Career Services, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Wednesday, March 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Memorial Union Ballroom. Community members, students and alumni are all welcome to attend.

“In a competitive environment most people find a job through networking and students will get that opportunity at this job fair,” said Peg Ferguson, URI Career Services assistant director and manager of employer services.

Among the groups recruiting will be Arbor Associates, Butler Hospital, Community Career Services, Gateway Healthcare, National Credit Union Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture and the US Peace Corps.

For a complete list of the organizations participating, visit the career services website at http://career.uri.edu/HHSJF02.html.

“The job fair will benefit the students by giving them a sense of whose hiring and how to apply what they have learned to a potential career opportunity,” says Ferguson.
