In the American Studies minor, students complete AME 204 Introduction to American Studies (4 credits) and a minimum of 5 additional elective courses (15 credits) relating to American Studies that represent at least three different program codes other than AME. Students choose electives from an approved list of courses to reflect, their individual interests, for example, comparative U.S. race and ethnic studies, science and medicine, environmentalism, early American and U.S. culture and politics, to name a few.
