URI LIVE!

Webcasts from a Small Beautiful Place, with some really Big thinkers

In the new media world, URI's website, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube presence are fashionably last season trends. Now the University has launched a fresh new channel to offer those who want to see and watch some of the happenings on campus, when they're happening. Welcome "URI LIVE!", the channel that will webcast many university events and activities in real-time.

Accessible right from the University's home page, URI LIVE! will present events and a guide to the next Livecasts. After the events are over, the videos are archived on the the UniversityOfRI's YouTube channel for viewing any time.

The new service is made possible thanks to new equipment and expertise found in the Communications and Marketing Department. The department successfully tested the system at recent big events like the groundbreaking ceremony for the new College of Pharmacy building, the Big Thinkers lecture in Boston, and several lectures from this year's Honors Colloquium.
