Since I retired, I’ve been volunteering at a STEM program for inner-city middle and high school students, doing taxes with AARP, and serving on our town’s library board and Emergency Management Office. I also took up watercolor painting. As a result of the COVID situation, I’ve been able to increase my painting output, but I also arrange for grocery shopping for at-risk residents and assist town officials with science-based recommendations for avoiding infection.
