Meet the University program planned at URI

“Meet the University” program planned at URI KINGSTON, R.I. — April 1, 1999 — High school juniors and their families are invited to the University of Rhode Island’s Kingston Campus to “Meet the University” on Saturday, April 10, at 10 a.m. “Meet the University” is designed to give prospective students and their parents the opportunity to learn more about admissions, financial aid, special services, internships, study abroad offerings, and academic advising. The informational sessions will feature all of URI’s colleges, including University College in which all first and second year students are enrolled. The day will begin with a welcome address by URI President Robert L. Carothers in Edwards Auditorium, and will be followed by tours of the campus. Faculty, administrators, and students will be available to answer questions. The program begins with registration and refreshments at 10 a.m. and ends at about 1 p.m. For reservations or more information, call the Office of Undergraduate Admission at 401-874-7100.
