KINGSTON, R.I. — Nov. 17, 2000 — The University of Rhode Island announced today that its College of Business Administration is only $50,000 shy of its $5.6 million private fund-raising goal.
The announcement came during groundbreaking ceremonies for a new and expanded Ballentine Hall, the home of the College of Business Administration. Going into today’s ceremony, URI had raised $5.4. million.
The latest contributions bring the new total to $5.55 million, or 99 percent of its fund-raising goal.
The total cost of the project is $10.6 million, with state and URI asset protection funds making up the difference.
