URI announces latest inductees to its
College of Business Administration’s Hall of Fame

KINGSTON, R.I. — February 15, 2002 — Edward M. Mazze, dean of the University of Rhode Island’s College of Business and the Alfred J. Verrecchia-Hasbro Inc. Leadership Chair in Business, has announced six inductees into the College’s Hall of Fame.
The induction takes place on Thursday, April 25 at 5:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza at the Crossings, Warwick.
The inductees are:

Pete Bassi, URI alumnus, B.A. 1970, MBA 1973
President of Tricon Restaurants International, a subsidiary of Tricon Global, the umbrella organization for Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell; URI CEO Leadership speaker. He is a resident of Dallas, Texas.

Michael Fascitelli, URI alumnus, B.S. 1978
President of Vornado Realty Trust; former partner of Goldman, Sachs & Co.; member of the College of Business Administration’s Advisory Council. He is a resident of New York City.

Frank Feraco, URI alumnus, B.A. 1969
President and CEO of Pentair Tools Group; former president of Textron’s Industrial Products Segment; member of the College of Business AdministrationCollege of Business Administration’s Advisory Council; URI CEO Leadership Forum speaker. He is a resident of Lake Forest, Ill.

Alan Hassenfeld
Chairman and CEO of Hasbro, Inc.; supporter of the University of Rhode Island and renowned for his civic, professional and charitable contributions. He is a resident of Bristol, R.I.

Peter Kirn, URI alumnus, B.S. 1975, MBA 1977
Senior Partner of Accenture, Inc., member of the College of Business Administration’s Advisory Council. He is a resident of Short Hills, N.J.

Anthony J. Rose, Jr., URI Honorary Doctorate,1991
President and Chief Executive Officer of Technical Industries, Inc.; renowned for his civic, professional and charitable contributions and support of the University of Rhode Island. He is a resident of Wakefield, R.I.
