URI Foundation celebrates 50th anniversary

Breakfast reception launches corporate fundraising campaign


WHO: URI President Robert L. Carothers, URI Foundation President Glen Kerkian, URI Vice Provost John McCray, and URI Foundation Executive Board Member Peter Miniati, along with faculty and members of the Providence area business community.


WHAT: An executive networking event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the URI Foundation, which manages the University’s $92 million endowment, and the launch of corporate fundraising for URI’s $100 million “Making a Difference” capital campaign. The Foundation has received more than $150 million in private donations since its inception in 1957 and awarded $15 million in scholarships and fellowships to URI students.


WHEN: Friday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 a.m.


WHERE: Paff Auditorium on the first floor of the URI Providence Campus, 80 Washington Street, Providence.
